Q. What is the Berlin method?
A.
The Berlin method is an aquarium filtered by the use of live rock and a protein skimmer. Typically there is little or no gravel/substrate on the bottom. The skimmer can be either sump based or a hang on. Completion of this system should include ample water flow throughout the aquarium achieved via power heads inside the aquarium or a combination of a strong circulation pump (on sump based systems) and power heads inside the tank.
