Q. What should I feed my fish?
A. A varied diet using foods
specially formulated for marine fish is the best course of action. We recommend
that you feed at least 3 different food types and formulas on a rotating basis.
A mixture of flake and frozen is recommended. Although flakes often add phosphates
they tend to have a higher concentration of vitamins, protein, and fiber. Frozen
foods add beneficial amino acids and various vitamins. While frozen foods may
contain a large percentage by volume of moisture, the freshness of the ingredients
surpasses dried foods. BY providing your fish a variety of frozen and dry foods
your fish can utilize the benefits of both. Another significant aspect of using
a variety is that prepared foods, whether dry or frozen can only attempt to duplicate
a fish's natural diet. By providing a variety of foods, it is more likely that
your fish will receive a more balanced and natural diet.
