The Marine Scene, the Washington area’s premier saltwater aquarium store, is now hiring for:

Project/Assistant Manager

Responsible for managing the installation of new projects including client relations, coordination with builders and architects and physically managing the project from start to finish. Must be self motivated and self managed. This position will initially require a few days each week in a retail capacity. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a working knowledge of the marine aquarium environment, and proven skills in building related trade. This position will require an individual with no criminal history, a clean driving record, a professional appearance and demeanor, and be absolutely discreet. We are looking to hire this position by June of 2011. We will accept applications for part time, with the expectation of going full time in June of 2011. This is a salaried with benefits position.

Service Technician

Responsible for the care and maintenance of saltwater aquariums in our client's homes and offices. The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in the care and maintenance of a reef aquarium. The ideal candidate will be self motivated and self managed. A professional appearance and demeanor is a requisite for this job. A clean driving record is an expectation of this job. The candidate must not have a criminal record and may be required to submit to a background check. This is a position for someone that wishes to join an exceptional company with the opportunity for advancement. This is a full time position. Part time may be considered for the right candidate.

Retail Sales & Store Service Technician

This position will assist in all necessary tasks including customer service and sales, in-store aquarium maintenance, livestock care and inventory control. Must have experience with keeping saltwater aquaria. Dependability, self motivated, and the ability to learn quickly is a must. Retail sales experience helpful but not a prerequisite. A clean driving and criminal record required.

Technician

This position will assist in all necessary tasks including sales, cleaning, and service account maintenance. Hourly or limited salary and benefit level.

Part Time Sales

Saturdays and or evenings. Mostly sales combined with other tasks as required. Marine aquarium experience required. Pay rate from $9.00 per hour to $14.00 based on experience and qualifications.

Part Time Technician

Saturday and some weekday hours. A lot of sales and a fair amount of other tasks. More responsibility than strictly Part Time Sales position.
