    What's New

The new EcoXotic Stunner LED Strips are in stock. These 12.5” strips are available in 8000K (white), 453nm (blue), 8000K/453 combo and 403nm (ultraviolet). They are even linkable and you can link up to six Stunner Strips off one 24V power supply. Each strip emits a beautiful, shimmering light and is easily retrofit into your existing setup using the included hardware mounting kit. The Panorama Module LED Strips are also available and these are awesome! Each module has 12 LED lights, 8x 8000K white and 4x 453nm blue. Each module comes with its own mounting bracket and power supply. To see these in person, stop in and we will give you a demonstration. Also soon to arrive are the Panorama LED Fixtures!

IceCap’s LunarLite LED Retrofits are in stock. These LunarLites have the same look of a standard T5 tube, yet they are powered by a low voltage transformer, not fluorescent ballast. They produce little heat yet still have an aluminum heat sink on the back side of the tube to help dissipate what little heat they may generate. If you think your corals look good under actinics, you haven’t seen anything yet! Most LPS corals, Mushrooms, Zoanthids, Ricordea and even some SPS really pop under LED’s. Each tube contains hardware for mounting into an existing canopy, commercial hood or even an existing light fixture. They are very light weight and come in 2ft, 3ft and 4ft tubes and prices are reasonable.

A new shipment of coral arrived this week including some really nice Red Meats, lots of Green Star Polyps, a larger Green Galaxy, Combo Zoanthid and Mushroom Rocks, Colt Leathers, Finger Leathers, Toadstool Leathers, Green Torchs, Hammers, and Frogspawns, Blue Mushrooms, Orange Sun Corals, Ultra Zoanthids, Green Clove Polyps, Yellow Polyps, Christmas Favia Brains, Red Trachyphyllias, and many more.

We finally got in some Chaetomorpha bunches as well as some Red Macro on rock and Feather Caulerpa on rocks. A beautiful False Percula Clown Pair is available and hosting in a gorgeous Rose Anemone. Lots of Green Bubble Tip Anemones are also in stock.

    Did You Know?
    DYK

Did you know that corals, anemones, crabs, shrimp, fish, live rock and even bristleworms naturally fluoresce? Of course not all will fluoresce but a majority certainly will. Corals will fluoresce as long as the coral is alive and they are receiving the necessary high energy light (blue or actinic light). Natural fluorescence is not easily seen because of all the extraneous light in the aquarium but once those daylights turn off, be prepared to see some eye- popping colors. Corals will also fluoresce differently under different lighting so don't always expect for your coral to look the same as when you bought it. Adding more actinic lighting or even blue “moon/lunar” LED lights to your light period will help bring out more of the inhabitants natural fluorescence. Check out the newer LED lights we have available! Do you know which corals of yours fluoresce?
